Selina & Veronica’s
Volo Kids Story
For Jasmine S. and her family of five in San Diego, she considers Volo Kids “a gift.” As a homeschooling mom, Jasmine wanted her daughters, Selina (7) and Veronica (5), to have opportunities to move their bodies, build friendships, and try new activities in a supportive, low-pressure environment.
Through Volo Kids, both girls discovered new passions. Selina, who had initially focused on dance, lit up when she had the chance to step up to bat in baseball, her favorite moment of the season. Veronica ventured into baseball, basketball, and dance, excited to explore without feeling limited by skill or competition. Now, both girls dribble, dance, and practice at home, carrying the lessons and fun of Volo Kids into their everyday lives.
For Jasmine, the program has been just as meaningful. “It is wonderful to watch them learn without me having to guide every step,” she shared. “They are building confidence, teamwork, and friendships, while I get the chance to connect with other parents and create a sense of community too.”
Each season, Jasmine sees her daughters grow not just in athletic skills but in confidence and connection. “Volo Kids has truly become a highlight of our week,” she said. “It gives my children the chance to discover themselves, build friendships, and simply have fun—and that is something I value deeply.”
